The Lord was telling me one thing. I had been doing some summer work, and some of my associates were planning to get entangled with missions work. There was a church that did a mission in India for 4 weeks it was referred to as “India problem.” It lived as much as its name. It was my first time doing any kind of missions outdoors of England. I used to be finding it laborious in my spiritual walk as I used to be not encountering the Lord when I might do my normal prayer routine. We landed In Bombay at 2.00am and had been thrown right into a busy world of hundreds of people in all places; begging for cash, grabbing the luggage.
This was our welcome to India. The heat and scent were the first thing that hit all of the workforce. We finally arrived on the Salvation Army hostel. Our plan for the whole journey was: Sunday morning we could be doing 4 completely different church services in addition to drama and worship!
It was designed to test us to our very restrict. The room I used to be in had over 15 bunk beds, and the room was full of different folks from all around the world. We had been arranged in teams of 4 and the teams had been made up of three women and four guys. Our motto was, “If it strikes, pray for it”! We went out and gave meals out to the street individuals and began to journey with the individuals that were always fascinating. On one trip I remember having to jump off a moving bus.
People started to seize hold of me and wouldn’t let me off, so I jumped. I used to be Ok but for a few scratches. After the primary week it felt like I had been there for 6 months and on the drop of a hat I could preach and pretty much do what was asked of me.

India is a very unusual place. Millions of idols are worshiped there. We had all our luggage leaning towards the wall, so there was a line of luggage leading all the way in which right down to my bed. Suddenly the luggage bags started to drop! One after the other like dominoes, in the direction of me. I hid underneath the sheets putting on the armor and telling God I was too young to die.
After what appeared like an eternity, I pulled back the covers and all the luggage had been thrown every the place. Somehow everyone else in the room was nonetheless asleep. When the guys woke up and noticed what had happened, I recounted the story. From that time all of us made certain we prayed before we went to bed. I used to be instructed our workforce, could be going to considered one of the most important slums in south east Asia.
We arrived and had been introduced into a really small meeting room. It was packed with people inside and out. The folks didn’t move, and we just started to pray for the lights to return again on, after praying nothing occurred, so we prayed again.
