Kelly Rowland Swears By This Black-Owned Skin Care Line

As beauty aficionados we clamor for the latest and best body butters, foundations, and lipsticks but hardly ever, if at all, do we stop to provide serious thought to the foundation and ingredients of the products. During the last few years, organic and sustainable food has become pretty common place but the majority of us have yet to use that same type of thinking to your medicine cabinets.

Yolanda Owens, also called the skin chef and founder of Garden Day Spa in Atlanta, desires to change all that by causing farm-to-face skin care products more relevant and accessible to Black women. This skin care chef-a name she found due to her enthusiasm for raw skin care products-hand picks fruits, veggies, and herbs from the farm that she then concocts into skin care products.

“I grew up with my grandmother, who was an all-natural home remedy person. I was a little young lady who remembers the home-remedies my grandmother provided me for my sickness or just because,” stocks Owens. Having spent most of her professional profession as an engineer, Owens made a decision to turn her enthusiasm for at home cures into a genuine business. Becoming an esthetician and taking natural medication and herb classes reinforced on her behalf how impactful uncooked and ingredient-conscious skin care products are for the body. If you’re like us, chances are you aren’t in a position to recount exactly how long some of the skin care products in your medicine cabinet have been there.

But that is definately not how things should be says Yolanda. It’s easy to ignore that our skin is the body’s largest organ which it quite literally absorbs everything that people placed on it. Far too often, the idea of wellness and our beauty routines are isolated. But as much wellness experts, including Gianne Doherty founder of W.E.L.L.

Summit, wellness is a 360-degree discussion from what we eat, to the products we put on our skin. “I learned how the skin is alive and absorbs what we put on it. I learned that the skin is truly a vital human organ that feeds to your blood stream what we feed it, I had to generate my skincare products plantation and RAW to pores and skin. I recognize that getting to the fundamentals is important to your overall health back,” Owens explains. Arriving at terms with the theory that some of our favorite skin care products might not be the best for our skin and overall health is hard; especially considering our vanities are lined with a large number of products.

  • Priced at Php900-1200 in most online shops
  • Linda Mason, Makeup Artist
  • Repeated vomiting or diarrhea
  • Lanolic acid
  • Apple Cider Vinegar
  • Fruity-scented breath
  • 8 out of 10 people I see in the office involve some form of hyper-pigmentation
  • D. Gregor Hagey

While we would never recommend throwing away any of your preferred products, it is most likely best to be a little more thoughtful about the next time you hit the wonder aisle. “I would advise women who are searching for a more natural skin care routine to start by feeding your body with nutritional meals and consuming a lot of drinking water. Second, I say to keep it simple!

The two skin care products you should offices be most thoughtful about? Your cleanser and moisturizer. Moisturizing and “Cleansing are two of the most important steps to healthy skin for all ages,” Yolanda shares. If you’re looking for the two super-fresh options, try the brand’s Squash-It-out face cleanser, made and juiced with fresh squash from the farm, and the 14-Carrot-Glow face cream, juiced and made with fresh carrots from the farm.

Owens also exposed that Kelly Rowland, who’s skin goals by the true way, is a huge lover of her products. “Kelly loves the rose and beets cream since it really helps with her except,” she stocks. If farm-to-face skin care products are the key to Kelly’s eternal glow, then sign us up!
